Influnce Factors On Chinese Enterprises Attaining Government Subsidies

In order to promote the development of economy, our government provides a variety of support policy for the enterprises actively to the enterprise. Among them, the government subsidy is an important way for government to support the development of enterprises. However, not all enterprises can get government subsidy. The amount of government subsidies is obviously distinct. What is the basis of subsidies?The existing studies focus on the characteristics of the relationship between the government and enterprises, and the study of industry characteristics, regional characteristics and the corporate characteristics of the production and business operation characteristics is a little less, yet it has not reached the same conclusion. However, regardless of the mechanism of government subsidies which exists "invisible factors", with the improvement of the enterprise accounting standards and disclosure of government subsidies, financial information of enterprise production and management and the economic development level the of enterprise’s location become "dominant condition" of government subsidy level. The influence factors of government subsidy needs to be researched further and perfectly. Therefore, the paper researches around the basis of government subsidy systematically from the enterprise, industry and regionBased on Chinese 2010-2013 manufacturing industry listing corporation, this study select 257 listing corporation; explores the influencing factors of Government subsidies difference from enterprise characteristics, industry characteristics and regional characteristics, and establishes the theory frame; Using the panel data analysis method to carry on the analysis, the results are as follows:the innovation capacity, social responsibility and political association as well as technological progress of the industry, the degree of government intervention and economic development in the region which the enterprise is located have a significant positive impact on government subsidies. The profitability of enterprise and government subsidies shows a U-shaped relationship. The degree of industry monopoly and industry growth and the degree of regional government fiscal surplus have no significant effect on government subsidies. The results of this study reveal our government subsidies motivation, characteristics and rules. Provide facts and the basis for between the government dealing with the relationship with the enterprise and role orientation, and then have a clear understanding to our country’s government subsidies.
