Research On Knowledge Transfer Mechanisms In Eco-industrial Clusters

Since the 1990s, with deepening of national and regional trade cooperation and industrial clusters began to form and develop. Enterprises in the industrial cluster in the long term gathering in a space and there are close exchanges and cooperation between them that can optimize the allocation of resources and eventually create a good economic effect in the region. So industry cluster as the most important business strategies can help region to sustained competitive advantage. The clusters continue to bring economic effects but also increased the burden on the environmental carrying capacity, the blind pursuit of the growth of economic benefits is not a permanent solution. Resources are limited, once the conflict between environment and economy outbreak, the negative effects it brought about are difficult to solve.Therefore, the development of eco-industrial cluster is currently an urgent demand for sustainable development of industrial clusters. An ecological industrial clusters is a big trend in the development of industrial clusters. However, in the process of development of industrial clusters if enterprises in the cluster can not stimulate their creative potential in the process of mutual cooperation, they are likely to slump in the market until they are eliminated. For example, the decline of the Motor City of Detroit in the late 1970s, the downturn of heavy equipment clusters in three northeastern provinces. Knowledge as the new factors of production is the most important part to promote the development of firms and even industries. Facing rapidly changing market environment, effective knowledge transfer can bring sustainable competitive advantage. Therefore, the study of knowledge transfer within eco-industrial clusters is necessary.This paper based on the relevant literature and theory of the knowledge transfer within eco-industrial clusters sort the theory and concepts of industrial clusters, knowledge transfer, eco-industrial clusters and knowledge transfer within the eco-industrial cluster and find that the study of knowledge transfer in eco-industrial clusters is too less that we should do research on this problem.Secondly, on the basis of extensive literature reading we analyze the characteristics, patterns, processes and mechanisms of knowledge transfer within the eco-industrial clusters. First we create a static game model of knowledge transfer between general firms based on game theory and then combining the unique symbiotic relationship between enterprises in eco-industrial clusters we build evolution model of knowledge transfer within the eco-industrial cluster to analyze the various stakeholders in the process of knowledge transfer in eco-industrial clusters and various influence factors of knowledge transfer in eco-industrial clusters. At last they can provide the basis for generating strategies of knowledge transfer in eco-industrial clusters.Finally, on the basis of analysis on the internal mechanism of knowledge transfer in eco-industrial clusters we propose the promote mechanism, views and policies to enhance knowledge transfer. Therefore, this paper has certain theoretical significance and reference value for carrying out the knowledge transfer in eco-industrial clusters.
