The Design Of Modern Logistics Park Development Planning Of Chongqing Shuangqiao

With the development of economic globalization, modern logistics, as "the third source of profit", has widely developed in world scale. After decades of development, it has become an important hotspot and new growth engine in the global economy.Modern logistics is the basic and leading industry of a city as well as a window which demonstrates the urban economic development and social prosperity. As a window and large industry, it has received increasing attention from the governments, economic agents and all sections of society, modern logistics park, as a good place to develop logistics industry and logistics operating platform, has already been presented as an important issue on the development agenda. Under these circumstances, a set of efficient and practical planning and operating systems of modern logistics park would contribute to better management and operating skills, and thereby accelerating the park’s long-term development.Firstly, this essay addresses the importance both the Central and Chongqing government attached to modern logistics by positioning Chongqing as a national logistics hub city and the bridgehead of Go-West Campaign. Then it presents the current status and requirements of logistics industry in and around Shuangqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone, especially in Shuangqiao Zone, Dazu District and Chengdu-Chongqing Development Area, and calculates the needs in Shuangqiao Zone solely in the end. This essay also analyzes the strategic orientation and development features of modern logistics parks in Shuangqiao Zone, Chongqing, which is driven by four factors: concentration, technology, service and demand. And it analyzes the site selection and scale, development plan, layout and operating system of this industry in Shuangqiao Zone as well. Moreover, this essay has designed a service platform for modern logistics parks Shuangqiao Zone, Chongqing, which is user-friendly, stable and convenient in operation. The method to integrate this platform into national even global logistics networks has also been outlined. In the end, this essay analyzes the economic and social benefits of modern logistics park and put forward suggestions in terms of allocation of land resources and industrial policies in modern logistics development.This essay aims at providing some rational ideas and policy recommendations in constructing Commercial Logistics Parks with Chinese Characteristics for the healthy development of modern commercial logistics industry by drawing on successful construction experience of logistics parks at home and abroad, on the foundation of considering Shuangqiao Zone as a modern logistics park.
