A Study Of The Agricultural Product Processing Development In Northern Anhui

Agricultural product processing industry(APPI) is an extremely important industry between the primary and the secondary industry. It is associated with agriculture, industry and circulation industry and is a key link in the process of improving the agricultural profits and farmers’ income. In recent years, the Party and the state attached great importance to " the issues of agriculture, farmer and rural area" and introduced a series of supportive polices. At the same time, APPI has got rapid development and has become one of the fastest growing industries. APPI, which is closely linked with people’s living standard and quality of life, occupies an important position in the national economy and plays an active role in the revitalization of the rural economy. However, the overall development level of the northern Anhui’s APPI is relatively low, thus it has great theoretical and practical significances to research the current situation, the problems and the countermeasures of it.Starting with the concepts of APPI, this paper introduces its connotation, classifications, significance of developing this industry, and the research progress of it both at home and abroad.Then through the statistical data in recent years, the paper introduces northern Anhui’ economic development level and the development level and achievements of APPI:1. large-sized enterprises being on the increase 2. transforming the mechanism and strengthening the flexibility of management 3. taking advantage of rich resources and promoting regional economic development 4. implementing the brand strategy and setting up famous brand continuously 5. leading role being increasing and the benefit coupling mechanism gradually getting closer, etc. It focuses on analyzing the difficulties and problems in the development of the northern Anhui’s APPI:1. the invalid policy propaganda and the insufficient implementation the supporting policies 2. short industry chain, low comprehensive utilization of agricultural and sideline products resources 3. insufficient technical innovation and poor manufacturing technique and equipment 4. Difficulty in raising funds and shortage of the development funds 5. the industry chain is loose and the benefit coupling mechanism is to be perfected 6. The quantity of leading enterprises is small and radiation effect is not strong.7. Lack in talents and the enterprise management level is not high 8. " Investments promotion" lacks efficiency.9. The brand consciousness is weak and the construction and protection of the brands are inadequate. 10.
