In the 21 st century, information technology continued rapid development as economic globalization has intensified, companies need to face the competitive environment is more complex and more powerful opponent, to expand the living space and compete for market share. Cost is one factor affecting the level of corporate profits; and it also affects the competitiveness of enterprises and the potential ability of development. Strategic cost management is the new tool to enhance the competitiveness of the company with the usage of strategic cost management methods which from corporate strategic perspective. This article tries to study the theory of Strategic Cost Management and analyze how J Company to improve its Strategic Cost Management method to enhance its competitive power.Firstly, this article introduces the theory of strategic cost management, the strategic cost management objectives and targets, the basic elements and management. Then discusses the value chain analysis, cost driver analysis and strategic positioning analysis of the three strategic cost management analysis tools. Secondly, analyze the J’s current status and cost management problems in the theory and analysis of strategic cost management guidance, to help J company to improve cost management with strategy thinking, to guide the company’s strategy to optimize existing cost management, and gain a further competitive advantage.
