Suzhou has made great progress in many aspects of urban-rural integration reform, like industrial development, social security, health care, construction, people of migrant workers, ecological construction and infrastructure construction since 2008.It was great affirmation for the State Council to upgrade Suzhou as national pilot city in 2014. With the reform push, funding problems increasingly become an obstacle to reform. This paper studies financial support related issues of urban-rural integration reform of Suzhou to provide a reference for urban and rural financial reform in the future.On the base of analysis of Suzhou’s money supply and demand structure of urban-rural integration, it predicts the total amount of funding and the gap between supply and demand. It predicts that annual funding needs up to 170 billion yuan from 2016 to 2020, than analyzes the necessity of financial support. Secondly, it assesses the performance of financial support of Suzhou’s urban-rural integration by using quantitative and qualitative analysis and describes the current problems such as financial funding haven’t dislocate with other funding, lack of collateral, and strict access while wide-regulated financial environment. Followings are financial support experiences and inspirations of Bangladesh, South Korea and Taiwan. Finally, it gives suggestion that different department should play different roles, Suzhou should optimize investment, promote institutional innovation, optimize urban and rural financial ecological environment, and prevent financial risk to deepen reform of financial support in urban-rural integration of Suzhou.
