The Research On The Transformation Of Foreign Trade Mode Of Anhui

Foreign trade is the engine of modern economy. It is a very important approach for a country to participate the international competition and cooperation and directly influences quality and speed of a country’s economic development. The development progress has demonstrated that fully-functioned comparative advantage of one country or region will increase the proportion of its foreign trade. Since the reform and opening-up, China has enjoyed an increasingly improvement of the level of openness in its foreign trade and fast development of the whole nation’s foreign trade, which greatly drives the growth of national economy. Although there are differences in the development level of regional foreign trade, there’s no doubt that foreign trade has great impact on the development of economy of different areas. Along with the fast development of economy and great opportunities of international cooperation and competition, there exists deep cooperation between different countries and regions. Then the problems existed in the structure of foreign trade of Anhui province become evident. The regional competitive advantage has been reduced; labor costs have gone up; the consumption of nature has become serious; trade frictions become frequent, etc. In recent years, relying on pillar industries and rich natural resources, the foreign trade of Anhui province has developed rapidly. While with the continuous consumption of resources, the strategy of exporting labor-intensive and resource-intensive products cannot adapt to the latest situation of foreign trade. Thus transforming foreign trade is the route that Anhui must take to achieve long-term development.Starting from the current situation of foreign trade in Anhui Province, this paper mainly analyzes the features of commodity composition of import&export, market structure, development mode, trading bodies and presents the necessity and constraints of changing the development mode of foreign trade. Making a comparison on the development of foreign trade between Anhui and Jiangsu, Zhejiang, this paper displays the problems existed in the development mode of foreign trade of Anhui province. Learning from the successful experience of changing the foreign trade development mode in the developed areas, this paper also indicates that Anhui should actively implement the transfer of industries, enhance the capabilities of indigenous innovation, strengthen ecological construction of foreign trade, change the pattern of foreign trade, give full play to the comparative advantage of foreign trade and continue to improve its sustainability. Therefore, the foreign trade of Anhui province could achieve faster and better development.
