Based on human resource management perspective, this paper drawing on existing research result, designs a questionnaire about the employees’ job engagement and its influential factors of small and medium-sized software enterprises combined with its characteristics. For providing solutions to improve the employees’ job engagement of small and medium-sized software enterprises, we explored the present situation and influential factors of employee’s job engagement, aimed to analyze the relationship between demographic characteristics and its influential factors about the employees’ job engagement of small and medium-sized software enterprises.The research formulates the questionnaire by combining the characteristics of small and medium-sized software enterprises, literature review and interviews. We tested the reliability and validity of measurement scale before the formal test to ensure the validity of questionnaire. Then we analyzed the data to understand the present situation and verify the dimensions by using exploratory factor analysis, and proposed the research hypothesis and construct the model. Then explored the relationship between job engagement and its influential factors by using correlation, regression analysis and other statistical methods, finished comparative study by using independent sample T test and single factor analysis. Finally, puts forward some suggestions to improve employees’ job involvement according to the results and the characteristics of the small and medium-sized software enterprises. Through empirical research, this paper draws the following Conclusion.(1) The employees’ job engagement of small and medium-sized software enterprises could be divided into three dimensions: energy, emotional identity, focus. And its influential factors include five dimensions: prospects, leadership, performance evaluation, post matching, meet the needs.(2) The current employees’ job engagement is at the medium level in small and medium-sized software enterprises.(3) Different gender, marital status, age, working years, education level, job showed the significant differences in employees’ job engagement and affecting factors.(4) The prospects, the leadership, post matching, meet the needs have significant positive effect on employees’ job engagement.
