Since the 21st century, with the rapid development of science and technology, electronic products have come to our lives in a changing way. Electronic information industry has also developed rapidly. As a result, the difference between productions has decreased, so price has become the contention point between the different equipment manufacturers. Bosses have to reduce the production cost to get more profit, because profit equals price minus cost.A company is an electronics manufacturing company, specializing in producing PCB products. However, the first pass yield rate of the production is only 96.54%, that is there are 346 scrapped products in every ten thousand products, which caused a huge waste of the cost. A company is in an urgent need to improve the product through rate.Based on A company’s actual situation, the thesis is studying on the application of the Six Sigma which is used in A company to improve the first pass yield rate of the products. In the first part, it is the theoretical analysis for the Six Sigma. It outlined the content and methods of the Six Sigma management. This thesis has been analyzing the A company of its quality question, at the same time, which discusses the implementation of Six Sigma management. After preparing for the Six Sigma management, the thesis improved the first pass yield rate of the products by defining, measuring, analyzing, improving, and controlling. This thesis applied the Process Analysis-C&E Matrix Analysis-Hypothesis Testing-FMEA to dig out root causes resulting in the quality problems, which helped to find out the critical issues from a complex system. At the same time, the thesis introduced Fast Improve theory to eliminate the effect of known causes, reducing both the difficulty of finding out the critical issues and the workload of improving phase. Finally, the thesis applied the job analysis, motion analysis to optimize the production processes, in result, the first pass yield rate had been improved from 96.54% to 97.63%, decreasing the costs and increasing profits for the company.
