With a new perspective, Job Embeddedness has explained and predicted for employees’ turnover. The various elements related to the employees’ living has been connected with each other by "embeddedness", and the tightness and stability of this relationship determine the employees’ tend to chang existing work in order to obtain the employees’ needs of working and life. The elements related to the job embeddedness include two aspects. On the one hand, Organization Embeddedness has been summarized by western scholars which is the embedding relationship existing between employees and their organization. On the other hand, Community Embeddedness has been summarized by western scholars which is the embedding relationship existing between employees and their community.However, when scholars researched the turnover behavior of Chinese employees by the Job Embeddedness theory, they found that the original off-the-job elements involved in the previous empirical research cannot explain the turnover behavior of Chinese employees completely. Compared with Western employees, Chinese employees more focused on family-related factors, rather than factors related to community life. According the Chinese context, therefore, the author raised the conception of Family Embeddedness in the research of turnover problems. Family Embeddedness is the extent that employees embed into their families. Higher the extent is, More stable the relationship is between employees and their families which become the more favorable direction.Above the orginal theories of Job Embeddedness, Family Embeddedness explained the turnover behavior from a new perspective which has complemented and developed the existing theoretical framework. According to the existing dimension, Family Embeddedness is still divided into Family Link, Family Fit and Family Sacrifice. By reading literature and interview of typical user, the author has defined the composite measure of Family Embeddedness and verified the forecasting mechanisms of Family Embeddedness to employees’ turnover by the way of questionnaire research.Through the analysis of questionnaire data, this paper draws the following conclusions:(1) According to the definition of Family Embeddedness and three dimension of composite measure, the analytical results show that the samples of the questionnaire data meet the demands on reliability and validity of test tools. Therefore the measurement method presented by the author can reflect the circumstance of employees’ family embeddedness successfully.(2) In the Chinese context, family embedded can effectively employees’ turnover, and employees’s Organization Embeddedness and Family Embeddedness are more effective compared with Community Embeddedness, so Chinese enterprises should pay more attention to employees’ family living outside of work.(3) Between Organization Embeddedness and Chinese employees’ intention to quit, Family Embeddedness has a significantly negativing moderating effect. When enterprices are committed to reduce employees’ turnover, they should consider the negativing moderating effect between the on-the-job factors and the off-the-job factors and identify the more significant attention of employees so that they can make appropriate decisions to reduce employees’ turnover.(4) Chinese employees’ age, marital status and dependent children on personal characteristics make a diversity in their Family Embeddedness. According to the employees’ personal characteristics, enterprises can initially identify family embeddedness status of employees which can provide an useful reference in employee recruitment, training and development, labor and social 1 security work.In the end, this paper discusses the enterprise management strategy by Family Embeddedness and summarizes the existing deficiencies. What is more, the future Family Embeddedness research has also been discussed.
