The Design And Implementation Of Competency Management Project In BO Co. Ltd

The core competence is the basis for a company to gain competitive edge. The continuous construction of the company’s core competence comes from its human resource ultimately. That is, the company’s human resource management system must constantly enhance every employee’s expertise and skills, effectively turn the company’s vision, values and business philosophy into each employee’s behavior in its daily work, and significantly improve the overall performance of the individuals and the organization finally. Therefore, it is of great importance to build the employee competency comprehensively in order to improve the company’s core competence.This thesis applies the systematic knowledge of project management, uses methods such as literature reference, BEI (Behavioral Event Interview),questionnaire survey, benchmark comparison and comprehensive analysis. Aiming at BO company’s actual situation, the thesis do the the design and implementation of competency management project in BO Co. Ltd. First of all, the paper designs the project objectives, develops implementation plans, establishis the project organization, identifies the time; Next, it is about the project implementation supervision, taking a few parts of the project to track the implementation, and recording them. Meanwhile, the paper does the risk control of the project, doing the risk assessment, making the risk action plan, and developing a corresponding risk response strategies; Finally, it is time to receive the results of the project, including the competency models and competency management policy. What’s more, the paper validates the competency models. The results indicates that the competency models matches the actual situation of the BO Co. Ltd.
