The Application Of Iean Production In A Company Automatic Line

Lean production originated in Toyota, along with Toyota achieved great success, its advanced production methods are constantly being introduced and perfected by a growing number of companies and institutions. Through full participation and eliminating waste to shorten the production cycle, improve production efficiency and quality, reduce production costs, thus enabling the company to gain market and the future. Lean production is not only advanced concepts, but also developed useful tools like value steam mapping (VSM), just in time (JIT), quick changeover, and problem solving and performance management.This thesis describes the development of lean production, including history, theory and tools, for analyzing the present status of A company, to find out issue and improvement point. A Company assesses the feasibility of implementing lean production based on these issues. A company set up a lean implementation department and signed a contract with McKinsey after assessed its resources. After investment analysis based on the target and increased cost the company decided the different stages of the production lines for implementation. Return on investment analysis was done for sort. Lean implementation also use of performance management concept:setting goal for different work steam before starting implementation; keep good communication and guidance between different levels to control the progress and promotion of goal achievement in implementation, also to help people grow; assess the performance after the completion. Lean production is in pursuit of continuous improvement, focus on establish a standardized system and employee behavior change. After promoted implementation, the regular supervision and review was done to achieve continuous improvement. This thesis has some significance for other company’s lean production implementation and research.
