With further promote financial reform, private banks began to emerge in Chineseeconomy. However, the development of private banks don’t have a long history and lackexperience, and the theoretical studies of private banks are mostly concentrated on thethreshold of access, which will make the new established private banks faced the specificdifficulties that the new established private banks can’t learn any development experience.This article is based on the C-A-P model which has the strategic positioning of thebank’s market theory, and combined with method---data envelopment analysis (DEA). Takingthe example of China Minsheng Bank, carry out a evaluation of the effectiveness of marketpositioning strategic. The conclusions shows: China Minsheng Bank, as a private bank leaderin China, its overall market positioning strategy has highly efficient. But there are someshortcomings: in terms of customer orientation, the loan value to private enterprises was littlebit more; the market positioning in the region have been successful, had been maintained ahigh efficiency; in service positioning, with deposits and loans represented traditional serviceshave a significantly efficiency compared with the emerging service whose representative iselectronic banking service, and investment-type services had made significant mistakes.Through the Internet, Wechat and all kinds of ways, the small new establish privatebanks are able to take the reference, by its own small but clever advantage, deeply diggingcustomers. Taking the customer as a starting point to develop a customer demand differencesstrategic, and eventually develop a perfect market positioning strategy for their own.
