The Consumption View Research Of Residents In China Under The Influence Of Consumerism

With the rapid development of economy and the expansion of worldwide economic globalization, western consumerism has spread in our country and penetrated into all aspects of our society since the1980s. It has affected the consumption view and consumption behavior of residents in our country and made it showing great similarity with western consumer society in many ways. Based on the historical changes of residents’ consumption view after the reform and opening-up in China, through consumerism, this paper studies the developments and changes of the residents’consumption view.With the further development of reform and opening-up, the role of consumption in social economic and cultural life has been more and more important. Chinese scholars also pay more and more attention to the consumption view. On the basis of Marxism stand, viewpoint and method, this paper studies residents’ consumption view under the influence of the consumerism in our country. There are two main problems to solve:the first one is to study the changes and problems of the residents’ consumption view in China under the influence of consumerism; the second one is trying to build consumer culture and establish the reasonable consumption view, which based on the analysis of the current situation of the residents’consumption view. This is also the place of innovation of this paper.This research ideas are:first, the paper studies the basic theory of consumerism and consumption view, and analyzes the essence and social influence of consumerism, then reveals the relationship between consumption view and consumerism; second, the paper studies the influence of consumerism on the residents’ consumption view in the historical change, and mainly analyzes the way of the influence of consumerism on the residents’ consumption view. In addition, this chapter also studies what changes consumerism has been brought to the residents’ consumption view and what problems it has been produced to the residents’ consumption view through these ways; third, the paper studies the current situation of the residents’ consumption view in our country. At the present stage, the consumption view of residents is diversified, which reflects in the three aspects:consumption of content, consumption patterns and consumption purposes. Besides, this paper analyzes the characteristics of residents’ consumption view and lists several typical consumption view in our country at the present stage, revealing the essence of alienation consumption behind residents’ consumption view; at last, the paper studies the countermeasures to solve the problems of current consumption view, which is to set up the reasonable consumption view. To establish the reasonable consumption view, we must build the consumption culture of our country, standard the media behavior, formulate and improve relevant laws and regulations, strengthen the residents’ education of consumption. Only in this way can we transcend the consumerism and promote the sustainable development of human and society.
