With the development of financial innovation, securitization, globalization and information technology, commercial banks all over the world are undergoing tremendous change, faces many challenges. Today’s commercial banks not only have to face the same competition in the industry, but also to face the challenges of the non-bank financial institutions. The fierce competition in the market make enterprises have to give up the strategic thinking of the traditional emphasis on sales and market share, but to recognize the importance of value creation, and thus gradually changing values, maximizing shareholder wealth as the primary objective of the enterprise. With the continuous development of the commercial banks, a growing number of commercial banks has been transformed into strategic objectives to increase profitability and market share of the traditional value increase, more and more banks have increased the value and value creation as a measure of the performance of commercial banks indicators, and therefore the economic value added (EVA) as a novel index for judging the value of the company has been paid gradually attention.Value Management of Commercial Banks in China is still in the preliminary stage, in management philosophy, the EVA management of meaning and role have not been truly recognized and play management model, there is extensive management, asset business development, economic capital management often passiveservices in the assets of the business scale expansion, resulting in growth in asset size, operating results did not achieve the intended purpose, the fine to be further enhanced and deepened. Management mechanism is not established asset allocation structure of the system based on the rate of return on economic capital flow; the EVA management of asset allocation and budget management function is not perfect, there is no effective restraint mechanism of risk assets and the return on capital, institutional and The process has yet to be set up and improve.This study is based on the status quo of China’s commercial banks. The article first introduce the origin and development of the economic value added; Then according to the actual situation of China’s commercial banks,the paper explore the economic value added in the measure of the value of commercial banks creating capacity advantages; Then explore the impact of the economic value added factor of the EVA by making2000-2013China’s13commercial banks as a sample. Based on the empirical results, the paper presents the ways to improve the value of China’s commercial banks.
