Chagan Lake in2007was approved bythe State Council as a national nature reserve, at the same time was named thenational4A level scenic spots, national Water Conservancy Scenic Spots.Besides,Chagan Lake winter fishing custom is listed as a National Intangible Cultural heritage.Since the tourist areas was established, the tourism developments of the wholeregion,fisheries production environmental protection, oil exploration andinfrastructure construction have achieved leap development and the economic strengthis growing. Currently, Chagan Lake has become one of the key tourist areas whichwas set up later but faster, the development and construction efficiency better.This paper is based on the sustainable development theory, the theory ofexperience of economy and cultural marketing theory, combined with the backgroundand current status of the development of dome stic tourism and tourism on ChaganLake County is conducted in-depth research.We have comprehensively set forthcurrent development situation and express the objective outlook to the future trend ofthe development through a brief review of the County’s overall tourism development,location of tourism development in Lake Charles, Lake Charles tourism revenue andtotal economic growth. We can adopt the combination of normative analysis andempirical analysis method,proposed actual situation of Chagan lake,combined withthe literature at home and abroad and focus on the development of tourism in Lake Charles economic development problems: inadequate infrastructure, business modelsingle，tourist market narrow, tourism product features are not prominent, thedevelopment of a shortage of funds, the brand is not full.Therefore,analyze itsunderlying causes: lack of appropriate policies to promote the lack of high-qualityprofessionals, the development of long-term planning, management methods behind.Then we can propose solutions and strategies from the business aspects ofgovernment support in view of Chagan Lake tourism economic development presentsituation and existing problems and put forward to increase government investment ininfrastructure, strengthen brand awareness,intensify propaganda,etc. Chagan Lakeprovides for the sustainable development of certain policies with reference to guideChagan Lake in the future development of the tourism economy and be able to takefull advantage of the unique natu ral resources and unique ethnic connotation topromote more tourism in Lake Charles better or faster development.
