China and South Korea established diplomatic relation in1992.Since then, the bilateral trade has developed rapidly. The trade scale expands gradually and the trade commodity structure is improved constantly. At the same time, there are some problems in the development of China-Korea trade, such as serious imbalance, unreasonable structure, friction constantly and fierce competition. Since the1990s, the East Asian economic integration has made great progress. As the main force of East Asian economic integration, China and South Korea have made a great contribution for the East Asian economic cooperation. The East Asian economic integration has also provided a historical opportunity for the development of trade between China and South Korea. Therefore, in the background of the East Asian economic integration, China and South Korea should pay attention to the opportunities and challenges which they have to face in the process of diplomatic trade development, make full use of the advantages brought by the economic integration and solve the existing problems in the development of trade between the two countries.Based on the theory of regional economic integration and the relevant trade theory, this paper uses a large number of date to analyze the status of China-Korea trade and the existing problems in the perspective of East Asian regional economic integration. For the opportunities and challenges being brought by the East Asian economic integration, the author offers some feasible optimization ideas for the further development of China-South Korea trade. Related theory analysis and practice has some practical significance to the development of China-Korea trade in the particular background of promoting regional economic integration.
