With the increasing expansion of the national basic construction investment of power grids during the "twelfth five-year", large quantities and quality of electrical material will be improved in Shaanxi province. As a provincial electric power material purchasing corporation, D is faced with a big task as well as challenge that how to establish the supplier management strategy and take the procurement, storage, distribution, use, maintenance and disposal as the total mission and responsibility. Under these circumstances, this research is centered on the company supplier management strategy formulation and implementation. It is expected to maintain strategic cooperation relationship with suppliers, guide the supplier service for the company, reduce the total cost of the material management, and improve company comprehensive management ability and level, then promote the company’s long-term development.Based on the theory of supplier and chain management, the author used the literature study, interview as well as the combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis to ensure the authenticity and the feasibility of the conclusion. The author focused on the supplier management strategy of the D corporation through the establishment and improvement of supplier management system rebuilt the whole process of the selection, assessment, evaluation and incentive management to improve suppliers product quality and service, while reducing D company power supplies,cost and the potential safety hazard after power equipment was put into operation, and enhance the comprehensive ability of electrical material supply and supplier management in D company. The study based on the following levels: Firstly, by reviewing and combing the theory of supplier and supply chain management, which is concluded the reference content. Secondly, the author found out the problems and reasons of the D corporation by analyzing the present condition of the supplier management. Thirdly, the author analyzed and divided the material types and their management style to construct the D corporation supplier management strategy. Finally, the author established the information system and modified the company organization in order to strengthen the risk control of this supplier management.The research about power industry in this paper, especially for D company materials procurement management and supplier management strategies completed and improved through the perspective of supply chain management, supplier management will be an important part of the company’s main business which is closely linked to the company’s currently outstanding suppliers classified research and evaluation order. In the practical application aspects management and information technology combined to achieve mutual unified supply chain and supplier management and corporate logistics, information flow and capital flow. Established supplier management strategy for the application of the decision-making and business layers, it can be applied for power supplies business or enterprise adoption reference materials related industries.
