Since2013, the different degrees of haze have taken place in30provinces (citiesor districts) of our country, which poses the biggest hazard to the world’s environment.China becomes the focus of international society. Researchers have discovered that fivegases among six greenhouse gases in carbon emissions is relevant to PM2.5. Seen fromthis, the development of low carbon ceremony in China is extremely urgent. In order toselect a path of low-carbon economic development, we must depend on the support offinancial industry. Our country’s commercial banks, as top priority in financial systemand a main channel of enterprise financing, must to change their management strategy,shift their attention to the carbon financial field and develop a business about carbonpositively.According to the World Bank’s prediction, by2020, the total amount of globalcarbon trading is expected to reach$3.5trillion, and will exceed the oil market. In thistrend, global carbon trading market will become the largest one. Faced with such ahuge market, during several years of development, foreign banks has made the financialinnovation in green credit, carbon funds and carbon trading intermediary business aswell as carbon financial derivatives trading business and therefore made significantprogress. But China’s domestic banks are only preliminary involved, they are stillinsufficient in many areas. Currently, the study of domestic commercial banks oncarbon finance is more concentrated on the development of the necessity, theintroduction on Equator Principles of experiences, the development of green credit andother financial services. Domestic commercial banks have little research on how todevelop commercial banks Carbon Finance Business concretely, which is the subjectand task to explore in this article.In this paper, carbon finance business of commercial banks as the research object.First, the content of low-carbon economy and carbon finance and the theoretical basis ofcarbon finance have been researched, then on the basis of the analysis of the effect ofChina’s commercial banks to bring on carbon finance business, the method ofcomparative analysis and case study have been combined to research the status domesticand foreign commercial banks, to find out the factors that restrict China’s commercialbanks carbon finance business development, this paper needs learn the successfulexperience from the domestic and abroad, finally we come up with solutions from management idea, business creation, risk management, facilities, and guide China’scommercial banks well developing carbon finance business.
