Estimation Of The Value Of Dianchi Lake Wetland Using Meta Analysis Method

With the improvement of living standard and environmental awareness, people’s travel demand for natural landscape and ecological environment is increasing. On the other hand, some local governments seek temporary economic development at the expense of environment, which caused contradiction between increasing demand for natural tourism resource and exhaustion tendency of natural resources due to excessive development. Thus, under the pressure of global population growth, environmental pollution, increasing exhaustion of natural resources, how to protect tourism resources and natural environment is the key to achieve sustainable development of tourism.Theoretically, local governments can analyze effective allocation of natural resources by cost-benefit analytical method aiming at developing natural environment reasonably and scientifically while maximizing the benefits of resource utilization. Since the natural landscape and ecological system are non-market resources, their prices can’t be decided according to the relation of market supply and demand and their economic value accounting is more complicated than other non-public products. What’s more, due to the restriction by time, space, cost, etc, to evaluate the value of the natural scenic spot is more difficult which leads to the emergence of Benefit Transfer Method as an important method to analyze non-market resource value.On the basis of reading related articles of Benefit Transfer Method at home and abroad, by establishing benefit transfer database and using function transfer method based on Meta-analysis, the author evaluates the tourism value of the Dian Lake’s lakeside wetland and works out that maximum willingness to pay for each person every year is (?)155.25. According to the error formula of benefit transfer, the error between predicted value and true value is from3.48%to28.67%with an average error of16.08%. The result shows that Benefit Transfer Method is an effective evaluation method of non-market resource value. What’s more, by analyzing the value of the Dian Lake’s lakeside wetland, we should build up the idea of "Natural resources are valuable’ correctly understanding and rationally confirming the tourism value of the Dian Lake’s lakeside wetland, which may provide scientific basis for reasonable protection and moderate development of the Dian Lake and have reference value for formulating the Dian Lake’s tourism management policies.
