The change in transportation has exerted far-reaching influence on development of tourism and of vital significance. Different means of transportation offers quite different experience. In the past, every major upgrade of means of transportation has given big boost to development of tourism in various places. High-speed railway has just came into public notice in recent years as a new means of transportation but it has undergone considerably rapid development in the recent several years and changed people’s ways of traveling. From which, the tourism has received greater benefits than high-speed rail and is welcoming unprecedented opportunities.Since Nanchang-Jiujiang High-speed Railway was built and opened to traffic, the tourism industry in Jiujiang has seen mushroom growth. Jiujiang city, as the representative in tourism development throughout China even the whole world, has established its unique mode in tourism marketing and popularizing in recent years and has done various marketing efforts. But in the high-speed rail era, the tourism marketing in Jiujiang has not yet fixed a clear-cut mode and lacks stamina to continue powerful marketing. Therefore, this paper gives a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the tourism marketing in Jiujiang in the high-speed rail era for the purpose of reaching practical guiding conclusions. The study in this paper can be divided into the following parts:First, it gives an analysis and review of the existing research results of tourism marketing in the high-speed rail era with reference to relevant literature and document. And then it introduces the related concepts and fundamental theories needed in the study to provide theoretical basis for the following study.Second, on the basis of wide collection data and adequate study of the existing literature and documents, it gives an analysis of the current situation, existing problems of high-speed railway tourism and the opportunities and challenges of Jiujiang tourism marketing in the high-speed rail era. Besides, it analyzes the changed in tourist-guest sources in Jiujiang in the high-speed rail era and summarizes the features of the demand of tourist source market of Jiujiang in the high-speed rail era.Third, it gives corresponding suggestions on coping with the “high-speed rail era” for Jiujiang City. To be specific, it offers strategies which shall be taken in Jiujiang tourism marketing in the high-speed rail era and points out that Jiujiang shall advance with the times, optimize and seek for new tourist destination marketing approaches; in addition, it analyzes and explores how to establish Jiujiang tourism marketing security system.Finally is the conclusion of the paper, which lists out the main research conclusions drawn in this paper and points out the deficiencies of the study and the aspects to be improved in the future.
