Analysis On The Effect Of Reserve Technology Spillover By China’s Outward Direct Investment

Since the reform and opening up, China’s economy develop rapidly, when the strategy "Market in exchange for technology" failed, we began developing outward direct investment actively, to seek technology and improve our own strength. At present, technical knowledge is an important factor to increase enterprises’ management ability, and outward direct investment is an effective tool for active access to advance technology. But during the transfer and absorb process, a lot of problems unsolved. Theory research on related problems is not much, and due to the statistical data is not complete, empirical conclusions are less. Therefore, more kinds of related research should do, it’s signality for enterprises.To research the relation between reverse technology spillover and Chinese technical advance, mechanism of reverse technology spillover effect deeply, this paper use literature review, inductions, Granger and some other measures. Through the research from invest intention and mode, distribution about trade and region and so no, we found that more and more enterprises invest to developed countries, technology intensive industries with cross-border M&A. At the same time, we summed up problems about China’s reverse technology transfer reason, influence complication of assimilating technology. On this basis, we consider the interaction relation about outward direct investment and technical level, from technology R&D investment and technological achievements two aspects. At last draw the conclusion that the reverse technology spillover of Chinese’s foreign direct investment exists, the increase of domestic technology R&D investment promote the increasing of technology seeking OFDI, and the increase of technology seeking OFDI promote the domestic technological progress.
