Research On Reverse Technology Spillover Effect Of China's Technology Sourcing Foreign Direct Investment

In the era of economy knowledge, innovation plays a key role in enterprise survival. Relying on internal resources to improve innovation ability becomes more and more difficult, therefore technology sourcing foreign direct investment become one of strategies to quickly catch up with other leaders. Technology sourcing foreign direct investment becomes an important channel to acquire the core technology which researchers focus on. The study mainly aimed at the existence of technology sourcing foreign direct investment and its effect mechanism. However the level of research stays at the macro level not micro level and never consider endogenous between technology sourcing foreign direct investment and innovation. Therefore, the conclusions are not exact. At the same time, the existing researches mainly focus on the influence of institution to investment flow and location, not discussed the influence of institutional differences to reverse technology spillover. In addition, most studies are suitable for developed countries not developing countries.Against this background, this article reviews the theory and mechanism research, makes empirical analysis and does some suggestions. From the perspective of macro and micro to illustrate the core issue that technology spillover effect of China's technology sourcing foreign direct investment. Firstly, this article combs the reverse outward foreign direct investment research at home and abroad, especially in the existence and influence factors. Secondly, deeply analyze the reverse mechanism of technology sourcing foreign direct investment with Chinese situation based on the micro and macro perspective. Thirdly, test the relationship between technology sourcing foreign direct investment and innovation and analyze the influence of institution distance and oversea ethnic Chinese networks to reverse technology spillover by using Logit regression, PSM and GMM. Finally, make some suggestions according to the analysis in order to maximum use the reverse technology spillover, such as optimizing investment subject, strengthen research of institution, using Chinses network and so on.
