As the most natural and humanistic process close coupling points, land use/cover change has become one of the core topics of global environmental change research.Farmers as the main body of rural production and business operation activities, and is the most basic decision-making unit land resources use, the land utilization behavior not only directly affects the efficiency of land sustainable use, more on land use/cover change, regional ecological security and regional sustainable development.In the eastern part of this paper is located in the hexi corridor in the middle and lower reaches of shiyang river basin as study area, based on the survey data of 663 peasant households, the multiple independent samples nonparametric test of peasant household land use behavior is analyzed, using the method of data envelopment analysis of the farmer’s land use efficiency, and by using multiple regression model analysis the influence factors of farmers’ land use efficiency, aimed at in continental river basin in order to promote rural land sustainable utilization and efficient land management policy. Through the study, the following conclusions:(1) Along the shiyang river middle reaches to its trail, farmers planting intentions were higher, but the farmers crops planting proportion decreases, and the planting of economic crops proportion increased gradually; Middle reaches downstream of the plant diversity index of less than, were 1.72, 2.16, and pure, agriculture and peasant households and farmers plant diversity index is 1.42, 1.78, 1.58, respectively,different areas and peasant households crop diversification degree is different; The dependence of farmers on the land was high, most farmers are reluctant to give up the right to the contracted management of land, more farmers willing to through contracting more land, more investment to increase agricultural income in agriculture.(2) Least squares method was used to plant diversity index as the dependent variable, family size, family income, agricultural income proportion, family workforce, proportion of non-agricultural labor, labor, level of education and the actual cultivation area, quantity of fertilizer, pesticides, irrigation water use 10 factors as independent variables constitute the influence factors of the middle and lower reaches of shiyang river farmers land behavior evaluation model. Found that family size, family income, the proportion of income, agricultural labor force level ofeducation, the actual farming area, diversity index, the agricultural inputs such as factors and plant diversity index was significantly positive correlation, while domestic workforce, proportion of non-agricultural labor force and the plant diversity index was significantly negative correlation.(3) CRS model of using the method of data envelopment analysis model for the middle and lower reaches of shiyang river area farmer’s land use efficiency. Found that the farmers in the middle and lower reaches of shiyang river comprehensive land use efficiency is low; Middle reaches of yongchang, liangzhou district, and pure technical efficiency of minqin county is 1, are the optimal efficiency, pure technical efficiency of middle gulang only 0.677; As farmers livelihood type to non-agriculture,the farmer’s land use efficiency, in turn, reduce, pure farmers comprehensive technical efficiency is 1, belongs to the optimal efficiency, and comprehensive technical efficiency and farmers and households and farmers were 0.623, 0.544, pure pure technical efficiency and the farmers and households are 1, are the optimal efficiency,and farmers only 0.403; Middle and lower reaches of farmers most progressing scale stage at present, show the agricultural production in the region at present land use behavior scale is generally small. And based on the shortage of water resources,should not be so expand cultivated land.(4) Respectively in the SBM model based on degree of relaxation of the middle and lower reaches of shiyang river region farmers overall efficiency of land utilization and efficiency to verify, through comparing with the results SBM model CRS model,the results close to, and in accordance with the actual survey of basic; And found that family size, age, level of non-agricultural, head of the household non-agricultural income and farmers land use efficiency was significantly negative correlation, Labour by education level, land use, agricultural income and efficiency of land use was significantly positive correlation. Finally, put forward to improve the lower reaches of shiyang river farmer’s land use behavior, improve the efficiency of land use of countermeasures and Suggestions.
