The Time And Time Value Of Technology Learning

The time played the main input and output in production and service, it have been the important aspect of goods production and the measurement. The length and speed of time decide the result of economic activities, the importance of the time just like the “existence” itself, and been familiar in a normal way,at that time, many scholars and manger put it into economic study,and put it as the resource of strategic competition advantage. However, pay attention to the study of time only and forget the series of problem relate to cost, it is the main reason of the phenomenon of “Acceleration Trap” or “Hippocampus Anxiety”. Besides, many economic scholars always pretend every production and transaction were happened in a moment, neither put the time into the analysis of production and transaction activities, nor put the time as a endogenous variable in economic research, as the result, lots of logical contradiction came about.In this article, we will put the time variable into the study of technology learning filed under the base of the past scholars, and combined the technology learning cost and the performance of enterprise with time variable, to research the influential mechanism of the time variable to technology learning comprehensively.Firstly, this article collected and organized many related literature, put time variable into technology learning domain and combined with technology learning theory and technology learning cost theory, using mathematical analysis, indifference curve analysis, static analysis, dynamic analysis, discussed the series problem of time in technology learning domain. Secondly, using the panel data of pharmaceuticals industry of China from 2002 to 2012, put the FDI spillover as the main subject discuss the relationship of technology learning time and the performance of enterprise, besides we consider the learning obstacles as the regulated variable to find the effectiveness mechanism between learning time and performance.Lastly, after the theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, we made the conclusion that the longer learning time will produce the better performance, but when the learning time last too long, it will has a bad influence on performance; technology gap and technology attribute obstacle will have negative influence on the relationship between learning time and performance; the time and the cost is the choice criterion,at the same time,we can divide the learning way into imitative learning, permeable learning,breakthrough learning and indigenous innovation.
