Research On Performance Early Warning Of Power Listed Companies Based On Leading Indicators

In today’s volatile economic environment case,it has very important significance to early warn the performance of electric power listed companies. As an advance method, leading indicators method has not been used in the performance early warning of Power Listed Companies fields, this paper select Yangtze Power as the representative of electric power listed companies to study the issue of profit early warning.Based on the study of the literature,this paper introduces the theory of leading indicators and performance evaluation,through the analysis of the factors of power listed companies’financial performance, selecti the alternative indicators for profit early warning,use Correlation analysis and K-L information,screen in the alternative indicators and select their intersection,and determine the leading indicators for the performance early waming,and get the early periods of each indicator. Adjust the data according to the early periods, finally modeled by multiple linear regression method, Through equation testing and variable significant test,determine the performance early warning model of Yangtze Power based on leading indicators. Finally.by forecasting the latest results of Yangtze Power,indicate that the model can play a good role in early warning,and the model is reasonable.Based on the alternative indicators,this paper establish a system of leading indicators for Yangtze Power profit warning,establish the model of power listed companies’performance early warning by using multiple linear regression method. This paper focuses on the introduction of leading indicators and the discussion of the model based on leading indicators,and I hope to contribute to the performance early warning of our electric power industry.
