Research On The Structure Of China’s Urban Residents Income Resources

Since the Reform and Opening, Our country has got sharply improvement with the leadership of the Communist Party,especially the economy’s development has great changes. At the same time, the rise of China’s urban residents’income lag behind the growth of GDP,and its share in GDP goes down and has an adverse effect on government’s project of sharing reform fruits with public. Aware of this problem, the party proposed in the 18th national congress report a "income doubling"plan for both urban and rural residents, which highlights income growth as government’s important objective in future and main appeals in public.This paper systematically depicts the state quo of economic development and income distribution in China, and demonstrates three facets of paramount importance---disharmony between growth of urban residents’income and economic growth, imbalance of distributive shares among three main sectors, and overwhelmingly increasing income gap. Based on the all above this paper sheds light on the state quo of growth in urban residents’income and decomposes it into four primary types of resources. Through further analysis the paper pins down the most two prominent resources---wage income and operating net income as well as the potential resource---property income. After that the paper empirically and theoretically analyzes, through both general and specific mechanisms, the impacts of concerning factors on the main resources of growth of residents’income and proposes some policy advises pushing forward the growth of these resources and in turn the resident’s income.
