| With the establishment and development of global energy markets,the energy security has become a global integrated problem. The traditional view of "By controlling the energy supply in order to ensure energy security" has changed, so the research focus will gradually shift energy security to the establishment of cooperation and pricing mechanisms while peace and development remain the mainstream of the world. With the deepening of economic globalization, international cooperation at the global and regional levels will become more and more comprehensive, very active in cross-border investment and mergers and acquisitions. Nowadays, the energy security issue has been affecting and restricting China’s economic and social development. Hence, the solution to protect China’s energy security has become the focus of current research. The rapid economic development urgently requires a new energy diplomacy given such context. Under the general trend of energy development, clean and efficient energy will gradually replace traditional fossil fuels such as oil. In the area of renewable energy include hydro, wind, solar, biomass, tidal energy, as well as other non-renewable energy sources such as natural gas development potential.This paper, based on the currently adopted international cooperation patterns from the perspective of energy security and learning from the international experiences with China’s characteristics, analyzes the context of international energy security and current energy security situation confronted in China, summarizes the strategy and issues of China’s energy security, to concludes the importance for China to establish the international security cooperation so as to protect the continued, timely and sufficient energy supply. Hence the needs of national economic development and the stability in China can be met with the establishment of China’s energy security under the framework of international cooperation. Strategies of active participating in international cooperation in energy security, strengthening bilateral energy cooperation mechanisms between countries to promote international cooperation in clean energy as well as participations of low-carbon energy security in world cooperation are proposed in this paper. |
