Study On The Determinants Of Antidumping Against China’s Export

With the rapid development of economic globalization and the international trade, the economics communication between countries increase than ever before, at the same time accompanied by more trade frictions. The vigorous development of China, the low prices in export activities and the poor marketing strategy making our country the world 1st anti-dumping investigation target from the year of 1995. The country and industry characteristic against China’s anti-dumping has highly identical with world’s anti-dumping structure. The anti-dumping investigations has bad influence on the long-term healthy development of China’s export. This paper aims to explore the determinants of China’s exports against anti-dumping measures and try to put forward some specific policy recommendations to improve China’s export industry policy.Based on previous studies, we started from the description of the anti-dumping characteristics on country and industry against China export, then focus on the anti-dumping influencing factors based on theoretical analysis. In the empirical part, we select the economical, trade and political factors as the explanatory variables, and the number of anti-dumping investigations against Chinese exports as the explained variable. The co integration test shows that the China GDP growth rate, the total China trade surplus will generate positive and positive impact. The anti-dumping investigation country(import country) GDP growth rate, their trade deficit with China and the domestic unemployment rate will generate negative, positive and positive impact. At last, we choose the export volumes of the largest three export industries in China, using the panel data to show the impacts of different exports volumes are different in different industries in the decision of anti-dumping investigations against China’s export. The test shows the export volumes in the four industries will generate positive impact in the decision of the initiate of anti-dumping in relative industries except the textiles industry.Finally, according to the current situation of test results and the foregoing description, determinants, for further development of China export industry to make more targeted policy suggestions, to provide reference for better respond to the global trade protection trend for China’s export import and export trade, the healthy and orderly development.
