The Research On Environmental Management Performance Evaluation Of Heavy Pollution Enterprise

Heavy pollution enterprises consume a lot of resources and cause serious environmental pollution, therefore the Ministry of Environmental Protection regards heavy pollution enterprises as key regulatory object. Apparently, environmental performance evaluation for heavy pollution enterprises is also more urgent. This paper studied the relevant literature of corporate environmental performance evaluation and environmental management, found that most of the current study focus on the idea of establishing universally environmental performance evaluation system that is applicable to all business enterprise, without taking the characteristics of different industries into account. While the evaluation of environmental performance tend to focus only on the final results of corporate environmental behavior, but not related to the strategic and target of the corporate environmental management. Based on the current situation of China’s environmental performance evaluation studies, this paper will extend the areas of corporate environmental performance evaluation, introduce the concept of environmental management. The research of enterprises environmental performance evaluation will in-depth into the specific levels of environmental management. Relying on eight specific levels of corporate environmental management and three management levels of strategies, institutional, performance, select the appropriate heavy pollution industries environmental performance evaluation index, build a scientific environment management performance evaluation matrix system of heavy pollution enterprises. On the other hand, environmental management performance evaluation methods of heavy pollution enterprises has been established, considering the characteristics of various industries in the evaluation process. Set weights for the index, using dichroic rating approach to evaluate corporate environmental management performance results. Finally, take a pharmaceutical company as the evaluation object, get the results of this corporate environmental management performance evaluation, then analyze disadvantages of this enterprise’s environmental management; also summarize practice experience, propose policy recommendations of the establishment of heavy polluting enterprises environmental performance evaluation system. This study is intended to provide environmental performance situation for stakeholders, provide a reliable basis for enterprises to improve environmental management and enhance corporate environmental performance level, thus promoting corporate environmental performance evaluation and green business in full swing, realize good economic performance as well as the environmental performance.
