The Impact Of Basel Ⅲ On Chinese Banking Industry

Basel III has a huge impact on the global financial system and economic. It imposes tougher capital and liquidity requirements in banking industry. Europe has been hurt a lot by financial crisis, and what would the European banks to react towards the new regulation? China plays a more and more important role in the world. So does the stability of its financial system. How Basel would affect the Chinese banking industry differently from European banks?This research consists four parts. In the first part, I’ll discuss the background, content and impact on macroeconomic of Basel III(Section A, B and C). The second part is the research on impacts of Basel III on European banks.(Section D) BNP PARIBAS is been taken as an example to illustrate some opinions. The third part is about how Chinese banking industry tries to adopt Basel III and the impact of Basel III on Chinese banks(Section E). In this part, Bank of China is been taken as an example and the comparison would be made between BNP PARIPAS and Bank of China. The last part is, Section F, the conclusion of this research paper.
