Rural Family Population Structure Effect On Agricultural Technology Extension Behavior Research

Agricultural technology extension is the process that applied science and technology to agricultural production activities. It is an important link makes the scientific achievements to realistic productivity and serves as key role of ensuring agricultural technology from the laboratory to the fields and promoting farmers’income. In 2012, China’s Agricultural science and technology progress contribution rate is more than 50%. It marks the progress of science and technology has become the main force of China’s agricultural development, but still has a big gap compared with the developed countries 70%-80%. China faces the challenge of how to apply the science and technology in the laboratory to agricultural production and serves the farmers faster and better. Agricultural In addition to the existing the problem of technical promotion insufficient funds, poor infrastructure, imperfect system, agricultural members comprehensive quality is not high, more important is the current rural existence as the main body of agricultural technology acceptance and application has not enough understanding of agriculture technology, participation is not positive. The farmers’ understanding of agricultural technology depends largely on the family personnel’s comprehensive quality, especially in the background of a large number of young, highly skilled workforce go out to work and departing from agricultural production. At present, rural family population structure has big change and analyze the difference of family population structure effect on agricultural technology extension behavior is necessary.Paper uses field survey data of 10 administrative village of Shifang, Sichuan province. Combined with background of rural labor transfer from never think of population transfer family overall population structure and considering the population transfer of the farming population structure two sides analyze the rural family structure present situation, the farmer agricultural technology adoption behavior, way of act and act effects. Using AHP to detect food crops and cash crops comprehensive evaluation index of effect of agricultural technology extension behavior. By constructing multivariate Logistic model, linear regression model horizontal analysis the difference of farmers’agricultural technology extension adoption behavior, way of act and act effects under different family population structure.The research results show that the agricultural technology adoption behavior by combined impact of multiple indicators of rural family population structure. Family from agricultural population, multiple occupations population, family marital status, family average age have significant negative effects and the farm population of family, family average education years and farm population sex, farm population average education years have significant positive effects. Agricultural technology extension behavior way by the significant influence of farm population of family, family men and family average education years, the other indicators were not significant. Family population structure and agricultural technology extension behavior effect has significant linear relationship. Food crops and cash crops the relationships between indexes are difference. Farm population of family, family average education age has significant impact on food crops’agricultural technology extension behavior comprehensive effect. Farm population of family, family men, farm population sex, age, education years has significant impact on cash crops agricultural technology extension behavior comprehensive effect.Finally, according to the empirical analysis results points out that the current agricultural production exist the following phenomenon:Multiple occupations farmers gradually become a new trend of agricultural production. Women and old man become the major farming labor of family. Family farm labor comprehensive quality is low. Non-agricultural income is more important. Agricultural income to total household income ratio is low and become the rural family’subsidiary revenue source. In addition, the agricultural technology extension have many problems, such as extension system imperfect insufficient of agricultural technology extension promotion, farmers agricultural technology adoption intention is low, farmers agricultural technology adoption is incomplete, agricultural technology extension comprehensive effect of different rural family has big difference and so on. Make suggestions according to the above phenomena and problems. Through various channels, the multi-agent linkage finance agricultural technology extension. Establish a radiant type of agricultural technology promotion which cultivation specialized households as the core. Using various ways to encourage multiple occupations farmers, young adults participate more in agricultural production, know, understand and use agricultural technology, and play the main role in agricultural technology extension fully.
