In recent years, with the accelerating process of China’s reform and opening up, economic development has made considerable progress. Where all types of commercial banks is to the prosperity of China’s economy contributed indelible force. As a credit intermediary, China’s commercial banks not only in the process of development of society has been idle funds to maximize utilization, but also on the ownership of the funds were effective solution to create a momentum for business growth and progress. In recent years, running from the commercial banks, most of the banks are able to identify the direction, in the financial field has made remarkable achievements. However, with the economic situation becoming tense, whether it is state-owned banks, joint-stock banks or commercial banks in major cities are facing many problems and difficulties.This paper describes the structure of commercial bank capital theory, the theory of the main draw of the following three:the traditional capital structure theory, the modern capital theory and the new modern capital theory. Second, analysis of China’s listed commercial bank capital structure and Present Performance. Mainly from the definition of capital structure, the status quo of the listed commercial bank capital structure, performance and status of the capital structure and performance problems in three areas studied. Finally, after influencing mechanism of commercial bank capital structure of the operating performance of the theoretical analysis of 15 listed commercial banks 2011--2015 years of data, multiple linear regression, analysis of commercial bank capital structure by empirical results impact on business performance, and the following conclusions:(1) the nature of the largest shareholder and operating performance was negatively correlated; (2) the largest shareholder of the top five shareholders and shareholding ratio and operating performance was positively correlated; (3) the proportion of outstanding shares have been listed and operating performance was a negative correlation; (4) the supplementary capital of the total capital ratio and operating performance was positively positively correlated; (5) capital adequacy and operating performance was positively positive correlation. In summary, this paper from the perspective of optimizing capital structure, this paper proposes optimizing core capital structure, increase the proportion of supplementary capital and optimize the external environment three suggestions to improve the operating performance of its commercial banks.
