Chinese economy has been greatly developed after the reform and openness. In the field of foreign investment, the enterprises has changed from the explorer of "going-out" strategy to the main participator of foreign direct investment. In recent years, Africa has become the craze and center of world investment due to its continuous optimization of investment environment and rapid development of economy. As the representative of Africa, south Africa attracts more investors around the world. For Chinese companies, South Africa has become the priority to expand the Africa market. As one of the most successful Chinese invested companies in South Africa, Hisense Electric have excellent both design strategy and choice strategy in investment, which are worth learning for other Chinese companies that are planning to invest in South Africa there.The foreign investment strategy of the enterprises plays an important role in the internationalization development of enterprise. In the view of Hisense Electric investment in South Africa, the investment strategy has an effect on how to build up its core competitiveness and determine the way in which enterprises enter the market of South Africa.In order to analyze the investment strategy of Hisense Electric in South Africa, this thesis adopts the methods of case analysis and targeted on the research of Hisense Electric. This thesis is composed of seven parts. The first part is the introduction, which mainly introduces the background and meaning of research, domestic and foreign literature, research method, structure, innovation and deficiency, etc. The second part is the theoretical foundation, elaborates the enterprise strategic management theory and mode selection of foreign investment theory. The third part begins with the introduction of case analysis and introducing the background and history of Hisense investment in South Africa. The fourth part firstly studies on the external investment environment of Hisense electric in South Africa based on the method of PEST analysis, immediately following with the analysis of internal factors which affect the Hisense Electric investment strategy in South Africa. The fifth part summarizes the strategic ideas and objectives for Hisense Electric investment in South Africa and to apply SWOT analysis method to the evaluation of strategic choices of Hisense electric.The sixth part sets forth the investment pattern of Hisense Electric in South Africa, analyzing the selection of each entry model and paying more attention on the Greenfield investment that Hisense Electric used in South Africa. The seventh part is the conclusion and enlightenment.
