Therefore, more comprehensive and systematic study on the sustainable development of the nursery stock industry in Changyi city is great significant.This paper firstly summarizes the domestic and foreign research on seedling industry development trend, briefly introduces the economic, ecological and social significance of seedling industry, and through comparison with domestic and international advanced typical, it is found that the shortages of the development of Changyi seedling industry. The main shortcomings are the low levels of the mechanization, technology and the scale, the low level of the variety, the backward management mode and of the way of trading. In this paper, we use the method of inquiry related archives and the implementation of the scene investigation. Through the SWOT analysis of the sustainable development of seedling industry in Changyi, the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and challenges of sustainable development in Changyi city were found out. This paper finally puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions for the sustainable development of Changyi city. These suggestions includs promoting the concept of sustainable development, the industrial scale of land to remove obstacles, optimizing the planting structure, promoting industrial park demonstration and promoting the basic constructionof garden nursery stock, promoting the construction of the market information, and striving to achieve the scale of landscape nursery stock, the establishment of nursery stock quality control system and the establishment of sustainable development of seedlings.
