| Nowadays Micro and Small-Sized Enterprises (MSEs), being one of the most important driving force of China’s economic growth, have become the most vigorous and dynamic participants in the market. And they also play an important role in the adjustment of economic structure, the rise of regional economics and solving the unemployment. However, the software and hardware infrastructures of the MSEs are often inadequate, with a low anti-risk capacity, an insufficient internal control system, a high degree of arbitrary decision-making, and a short life cycle, that leads directly to an increase of the risk of financing and the difficulty of meeting their all-round financing needs. In recent years China’s real economy has been facing severe challenges, especially in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) and the Yangtze River Delta (YRD). Ensuring the development of the microfinance now became a critical factor of regional stable development. Base on this, the development of MSEs has been attached with unprecedent importance, and our government has formulated relevant policies. Meanwhile, for commercial banks, the widening of direct finance channel reduced the load demand of high-quality companies; the acceleration of the process of interest rate marketization directly caused the net interest margins’decline and cut down the policy bonus. To confront the financial disintermediation and the interest rate marketization, strategic transformation of SMFS is inevitable for commercial banks. This thesis chooses the microfinance services of commercial banks in PRD as a starting point to carry out a study on the following contents:Chapter 1:This chapter starts with the reasons of choosing the topic, an overview of relevant researches and the article layout. The real economy in the PRD has ranked among the best to date, and the demand of financing is very strong, which brings prosperity to the microfinance services in the region. Microfinance has become more and more mature with each passing day, and played an positive role in the economic development in PRD, but it turned out to have its own disadvantages. According to this, this thesis tries to make a detailed study of the actual situation of microfinance services in PRD.Chapter 2:This chapter is focusing on the ecological environment of the microfinance. It begins with elaborating the concept of the microfinance and then take a deep research on the ecology of microfinance in China, including the financing support for Micro and Small-Sized Enterprises (MSEs) from the banks and the predicament of developing microfinance.Chapter 3:This chapter is mainly about the microfinance practice in PRD and its characters, especially about the financing services and comprehensive services. By studying these, we can observe the current situations of the microfinance development in China, and learn about the main barrier of developing microfinance in PRD.Chapter 4:This chapter is mainly about the directions of microfinance services reform. The microfinance services of commercial banks are influenced by the real economy of China. And the study revolves around four aspects of the microfinance services:the extension of product development strategy, the reform of the bank guarantee structure, the control of risk-based pricing and the updates of operation strategy. In addition, the role that the government plays in the financing process of MSEs is also an important subject to concern. So this chapter is also related to the adjustment of the role that government plays, as the external environment of microfinance reform. The rest of the article discusses the inspiration from the microfinance in PRD for the whole country. Although the financing business in PRD is prosperous, it is hard to see the whole picture of the financing market in China, as it is such an enormous and dynamic market. Regarding to this, this thesis tends to outline the current situation of the microfinance services of commercial banks in PRD rather than giving any prediction. Microfinance plays an important role in the economic development of the entire PRD and even the entire country. Therefore, a study of an active economic district, such as PRD, not only provide an important regional vision of microfinance but also have great significance to developing the socialist economy in case of a recession of the real economy. |
