The Control Research On The Operational Risk Of Commercial Banks In China

Since the 1990 s, the operational risk events caused huge economic loss to commercial Bank. The Basel Committee of Banking Supervision proposed the new Basel accord on June 26,2004, and official introduced the capital regulation of operational risk. The same time they provided three economical methods to measure the operational risk:basic indicator approach, standard approach and advanced measurement approach. Domestic and foreign scholars have proposed many noteworthy measures to quatitatively analyse operational risk based on these three methods.Based on domestic and foreign research results of operational risk, this paper has discussed the measurement methods and management framework of operational risk of commercial banks comprehensively, and analyzed the current situation of operational risk control to A bank Zhejiang branch. Combined with the actual situation of Zhejiang branch of A bank, this paper has analyzed the risk environment it faced with, and the operation risk management model and the data analysis which it has taken. Through analyzing the specific case of A bank Zhejiang branch, we can summarizes the experience and lessons, in order to lay the foundation of further strengthen the operational risk control.The paper expounds the main achievements of A bank Zhejiang branch in the aspect of operation risk control, the deficiencies and the reasons, provide a reference for strengthening operation risk control of A bank Zhejiang branch. Finally this paper has elaborated that the operation risk control and research of commercial bank in our country should be based on China’s national conditions, and from several aspects such as cultivating risk management culture and improve the operational risk control management system, it has put forward some suggestions for improving the system of the operation risk management of commercial bank in our country and strengthening the operation risk control of commercial bank in our country.
