The Issues Related To Coal Industry During Transformation Period And Outlook Of Future Development Trend

China is one of the largest energy consumption countries and coal resource is the biggest part of its energy consumption construction. For a long period, China energy resources distribution is characterized by “ rich coal, poor petrol and little gas”. Meanwhile, the coal, from consumption to trade aspect, plays a leading role in primary energy consumption. Therefore, how to adjust this structure and carry out economic restructure has long been an issue of China. The economic development of coal-resource-based cities is straightforward, which not only heavily causes recourses waste, but also causes environment pollution and ecological damage. Therefore, it is necessary to change this pattern of economic development. Sustainable economic development is the best way to change this model, but the premise of sustainable development is to have effective transformation on coal industries.In this paper, it mainly analyses the current coal consumption, mode of trade, combines the policies implemented for coal transformation and concludes that China still has many realistic issues such as economy, employment, development during the transformation period. Based on coal’s primary position in consumption structure, it is absolutely not an easy joy to realize coal transformation via macro slogan. Therefore, China government shall hold the principle of long-term sustainable development and marginal benefit maximization to speed up coal transformation in combination of environmental protection, social employment, talent management, energy safety, trade structure, energy supply & demand, energy technical innovation and other factors. At last, the article points out the future trend of coal resource based on analysis of pretext, and some potential problems as well as solutions.
