Analysis On The Role Of TNCs In Global Climate Governance

Global climate problems have become a hot issue at currently time, and all eyes on the way of global climate governance process. Transnational corporations(TNCs), as an important non-state actors on the world stage, play an increasingly important role in the current global climate governance.The development of TNCs can be traced back to the 1860 s, they grow gradually in the hundred years. It is necessary for us to study their typical characteristics, and the political role played in the global climate governance process, and to gradually analyze the advantages and the negative effects of them. Through historical and comparative analysis in TNCs by combining theory with practice and being supported with the official precise data, this paper makes the theory has a solid credibility, and deepen the understanding of the role of TNCs in today’s global climate governance. Based on these, put forward rationalization proposals that how to maximize the advantages and reduce the negative factors of TNCs in global climate governance.
