Research On The Relationship Between Urbanization And Social Security System Of Shanxi Province

Urbanization is the only way to economic and social t ransformation and upgrading, it’s also the objective law to the development of human civilization. In recent years, due to excessive attention to the speed of urbanization, China ignore the quality of urbanization, resulting in a "Medical Treatment Difficulty", "high housing price", "labor shortage" and a series of social problems. It reflects the lagging behind of Social Security System in the process of urbanization. Therefore, the study on the relationship between urbanization and social security system has become a major concern of content. Shanxi Province is a typical resource-based economy, the level of urbanization in recent years has been greatly improved. By the end of 2015, the urbanization rate has reached 55.03%. However, there have been "semi- urban" in the process of urbanization, and the social security system lag behind. Although the social insurance system in Shanxi Province has been basically achieved full coverage, and constantly improve the level of protection. However, the basic old-age security between urban and rural inequality, urban and rural social security system can not achieve effective docking and other issues still exist, especially in the rural- urban migration factors hindered, restricting the development of urbanization. So it’s necessary to explore the relationship between urbanization and social security system from the theoretical and policy level. It can seek more efficient path for urbanization in Shanxi.Paper uses economic theory to construct the mechanism of interaction between urbanization and social security system, it analyzes the current situation in Shanxi Province of urbanization and social security system. Furthermore combined with empirical data, it analyzes the relationship between Urbanization and Social Securit y System of Shanxi. Finally, it put forward the countermeasures and suggestions for the coordinated development of urbanization and social security system in Shanxi Province.Thesis conclusions are as follows: First, There exists the relationship of interaction: Urbanization provide the material basis for the social security system by promoting economic growth, and generate demand for the social security system through factor mobility; the social security system promotes urbanization by promoting the flow of population, industry concentration, etc. Second, by analyzing the status quo between urbanization and social security system in Shanxi, we can find that they are the mutual promotion and mutual restraint. Third, by constructing VAR model, we use Granger causality test positive analysis to research the relationship between urbanization and the social security system in Shanxi Province, namely: the existence of two-way causality between urbanization and the Social Security System, the role of urbanization to social security systems is more than the role of the social security system to urbanization. Fourth, we propose some countermeasures and suggestions to advance to coordinated development in Shanxi between urbanization and the social security system: raise the level of urbanization, and promote the level of social security expenditure increase; enhance the quality of urbanization, increasing demand for the social security system; improve the social security system in rural areas, to create a good environment for the urbanization; improving the urban social security system, and promote people of migrant workers.The innovation of this paper is that: from the perspective, we s tudy on the relationship between urbanization and the social security system; from the contents, we research the interaction mechanism between urbanization and the social security system, and use empirical analysis to study the relationship between them in Shanxi.On the one hand, the research has certain theoretical significance to promote the study of coordinated development between urbanization and the social security system, on the other hand, it has a large practical significance in achieving the integration of urban and rural social security system and promoting the coordinated deve lopment between urbanization and the social security system in Shanxi.
