As Chinese companies continue to speed up the pace of "go out" strategy, it is also pressing for China’s small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) social responsibility and international level. As the most important contributor and core strength to economic development,SMEs in China is the construction of socialist harmonious society. SMEs in China must keep up with international corporate social responsibility(CSR) and strengthen the consciousness of CSR to learn from each other, complement with each other if they eager to enhance the international competitiveness. Thus to strengthen CSR is the necessary way of economic transformation in China and it is significant to undertake CSR.This paper can be divided into the following five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction. This chapter analyzes the background and purpose of this paper, introduces the current development of SME board and of the ChiNext, and leads to the frame work of this article. We seek for problems from the phenomenon in real life and demonstrate the significance of research.The second chapter is the theoretical foundation and literature review. This chapter firstly introduces the theory of the growth of Chinese and foreign scholars’ research on their definition and influence factors for the growth. Secondly it introduces the concept of CSR and the research status and the various views of scholars. Finally, this part discusses the literature about the relationship between CSR and SME growth.The third chapter is the research design which consists of proposing the hypothesis, selecting and calculating indicators and data sources.The fourth chapter is data analysis. This chapter proves all the hypothesis mentioned above through the SPSS, and digs deeper reason of the different results.The fifth chapter introduces the direction of future research.The chapter summarizes all the conclusions above and illustrates the innovation and deficiency of the article, and puts forward the future research direction.We collect relevant data from 2012 to 2014 of 121 companies in SME board and ChiNext. and try to find out the relationship between social responsibility and the growth. This research draws the conclusion that SME growth is mainly manifested in four kinds of abilities:profitability, operation ability, per share ability. Sustainability; Through the study of this article we found that CSR positively effects on the profitability of enterprises growth factor, and it becomes more significantly as time goes; CSR has negative effects on the development capability of enterprises significantly, and has no significant effect on the development in the future; Profitability has reverse effect on corporate CSR, this worked significantly within one year of lag, and decreased in third year. We hope that this research may contribute to the improvement of the social responsibility and growth theory system.
