In recent years, small and micro enterprises are facing unprecedented challenges in the growth process. Such as financing difficulties, the weak of creativity, the shortage of talent, poor management, operating costs, the less market competitive,resulting micro enterprises can not compete with large enterprises and other issues.Faced with such a difficult market environment,micro enterprises how to face it calmly, how to find medicine to keep survival in difficult market environment,how to contribute to China’s economic development,academic scholars need to think and study this series of questions carefully. On one hand, researches on the academic in small businesses focused on how to solve the financing difficulties, how to improve the ability of innovate, how to improve the relevant legal system and study the impacts of small and micro enterprises development of external factors. On the other hand,many studies indicate, psychological capital is a key factor affecting employee engagement and performance,it even can affect the survival of the enterprises.Unfortunately, very few scholars can explore the impact of the development of small and micro enterprises internal factors from the perspective of positive psychology, proposed good words and big idea to increase the competitiveness of enterprises.The research methods of this paper used is theoretical analysis and empirical research. Firstly, the article reviewed the theory of psychological capital at home and abroad, engagement and job performance, and analysised the correlation between the three variables, put forward my hypothesis. Then selected 32 caterings mainly to small and micro enterprises in Zhifu Area of Yan Tai City in the survey, on the payment of nearly 260 questionnaires to collate and analyze data by SPSS17.0. All the hypothesis were verified.Finally, the following conclusions:(1) In dimensions of the psychological capital, engagement and job performance, the score of employees in small and micro enterprises represented by restaurant staff is on a upper middle level.(2) The age of working experience in demographic variable and psychological capital,engagement and job performance are increasing related,and the age of working experience has a significant impact on the engagement.(3) Position category in demographic variable has a significant impact on psychological capital, engagement and job performance.(4) Psychological capital has a positive impact on the engagement.(5) Psychological capital has a positive impact on job performance.(6) Engagement has a positive impact on job performance.(7) Engagement plays a partially mediated between psychological capital and job performance.Based on the data displayed,we come up with the methods of improving the level of psychological capital, engagement and job performance and provided some advice for the small and micro enterprise managers. Meanwhile, I provided a little strength to the development of the small and micro enterprises.
