Under the background of collective forest right system reform, as the immediate participants of the market economy, forest-farmers have an increasing demand for the forestry information. Currently, how to coordinate agents’activities under present conditions, to maximize the efficiency of information diffusion is one of the important topics in rural information service. This paper uses data from the investigation held in Yongan and Jiangle County, Sanming, Fujian Province. In order to improve the communication of forestry information among peasants, it analyzes peasants’basic information and behavior, mines the rules behind the forestry information dissemination in their social networks, builds the forestry information dissemination model and simulates the process of information dissemination. Based on Structural Hole Theory, Block models, Clique Structure and multi-agent simulation, this paper explores how communication channels, nodes’attributes and structures of peasant’s social networks affect information dissemination. Found that peasants prefer radio, television and interpersonal communication to get information. In interpersonal communication, the choice of initial nodes play an important role in information dissemination. Finally, to improve current situation, this paper puts forward relevant suggestions.
