Study On The Economic Development Of Wangqing County

In recent decades, Chinese economy has been booming rapidly, which has led programming County-Level Economy (CLE) to becoming an officially and initially important task in such phenomenal economic blossom in China, and since CLE has been played as a key role and motivation in developing the whole social economy, it also has become a crucial part to further increase on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of China and an irresistible trend for the future long-term plan. Moreover, developing CLE may need to adjust measures to local conditions, which means that the mode of the development might be impacted by locally regional self-recognition and industry orientation as well as the elements of local resources, economy and population, which probably might inspire some regions to develop their own special or suitable type of CLE modes.Wangqing County is located in the northeast of China at Mount Changbai of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province with long and rich history and culture. It has also played a key role in between urban and rural areas for each other’s communication as a geo-connector. And then it is not only for the mission of "Building a Moderately Prosperous Society in All Aspects", but a mainstay for political, economic and cultural development as well.As for the natural resources, Wangqing has abundant forests, mineral products, and water, biological, agricultural resources with huge reserves. Since its location is in the Northeast Asian Economic and Trade Zone (NAETZ), geographically, it has huge potential and benefit for its own development, but Wangqing’s economy has not been progressed and increased quite well and is still officially one of the State Poverty Counties in China.It is quite rare as a county-level town in China that Wangqing has its own special "Two, Three, One" industrial structure mode. Meanwhile, there are still tons of limitations and problematic issues to impede the progress of CLE, for instance, the issues of population, agricultural development, industry cluster and public servicing. Those are all the problems that gradually emerged in the developing process, which would negatively influence Wangqing’s future economic development if such issues could not be resolved as soon as possible. Therefore, making a more divers mode of economic progress for Wangqing might be considered as a very high research value.The study of this article aims that the CLE with its developing strategies will be deeply discussed and investigated based on current situation of progressing CLE in China and taking Wangqing County as a practical instance. It will also conclude what might be the positive and negative factors for promoting or preventing economy from moving forward through the investigation and analysis of the issues and results that may occur in implementing CLE policies in Wangqing. This study will also provide efficient advice, solutions and strategies to enhance Wangqing’s economic competitiveness among other counties and to accelerate the pace of its economic growth, which may better popularize implementing CLE for all counties in China.
