"County" is some kind of organizational system of region administration, which is consisted of town, market town and village. It has the relative independent and basal social and economic institution, locating the second (or third) level in the system of the Chinese administrative area. Comrade Jiang Zemin explicitly proposed that we should "expand the country economy "in the 16^th Chinese representative congress, which reflected the prominent status of county economy in the national economy development.Judging from situation of current economical operation, the prominent contradictory of macroscopic economical operation represents that the effective demand specially for the consumptive demand is insufficient, the employment pressure increases, while the peasants' income grows slowly, the demand of village market is not prosperous are the important reasons. Particularly our country is great agricultural nation, who has more than 900 million peasants. The enhancement of peasants' living standard influence directly the realization of such great goal that the comprehensive construction well-off society and construction harmonious society. The topic of this paper is "The research on county economy's development and appraisal". Through, is for the purpose of this paper is to find out the effective way and the concrete measures that can realize the county economy's fast development in our country, thus increases peasants' income quickly, and solve the "San nong" problem, and then inspects the materially executive effect by a set of practical and feasible appraisal system that can reflect objectively the development actuality of county economy.This paper takes county as research object, mostly summaries the basic patterns of our present development of county economy, through the thorough research on the connotation of county economy and the present situation of county economy development in our country, providing the reference for the use of all our countries choosing the developing pattern that conforms to their characteristics.
