Recent years, with the deepening of the grid material intensive management, material management cost savings become a key concern of the power industry on the basis of the supply support, and network storage network optimization is the important measure to achieve this key. Currently, grid enterprises gradually get rid of the traditional single material management mode, and adopt new material reserve models to adapt to new market demands. As an advanced material reserve mode under new demands, through the integration and redistribution of the same materials in different warehouses to complete the optimal allocation of resources in the process of material reserve, jointly managed inventory can greatly reduce the total reserves, warehousing costs, and capital occupation, thereby increase grid enterprises’competitiveness and promote their long-term development. Grid enterprises must conduct a series of preparations focus on jointly managed inventory, establish a scientific and rational grid storage network based on jointly managed inventory, improve and standardize electricity material warehouse management system and institutional, so as to enable the jointly managed inventory can be implemented smoothly.In this paper, in the background of the grid material intensive management and with jointly managed inventory as a starting point, firstly, understand the background and domestic and foreign research status after a review of a large number of literature and information, while understand grid enterprise storage network status and collect information through interview method and field research method. Then analyze the implementation conditions of jointly managed inventory, compare with other traditional inventory management model, and indicate the benefits of jointly managed inventory implementation. Under the precondition of the implementation of joint inventory, adopt prediction method to calculate total reserves of a certain grid material of turnover warehouses participating in jointly managed inventory, reasonably determine the ratio of the material of each relevant turnover warehouse, and further determine the material reserves of each turnover warehouse. Finally, according to the material reserves of each turnover warehouse, with the sum of delivery costs and time costs as the objective function, build the warehouse location model combined with actual situation of grid enterprises under present location methods, obtain relative coordinates and material scheduling of each turnover warehouse, and calculate the results by Matlab software. Throughout the course of the study, based on the exiting researches, this paper set up the jointly managed inventory operation mode of grid enterprise; developed the total material reserve determination and distribution mechanism under jointly managed inventory; built grid enterprise storage network optimization model under jointly managed inventory.
