With the development of social economy, power companies play an important role as basic industry. Under the influence of traditional management and operation mechanism, State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) cannot meet the needs of economic development for electricity at present stage.The System of "Three Intensive Management and Five Large-scale Movements" (Intensive Management in human resources, financial resources, and material resources; Large-scale movements in programming, construction, operation, overhaul, and production) is a comprehensive and initiative transform of SGCC in the new era. It is a self-revolution to adjust internal production relations and liberate productive forces fundamentally. The build of this system promotes to achieve SGCC’s strategic transformation from extensive to intensive and from traditional to modern management. The purpose of comprehensive establishment for scientific management and operation mechanism is to adjust the production structure, optimize operation mechanism and enhance management capabilities of the company. The build of this system has a significant impact on the existing management system of Beijing Shijingshan Power Supply Company (BSPSC).This paper firstly introduces professional logistics research results at home and abroad, especially the basic theory in fields of materials management and inventory control, and the intensive management of material resources in build of the System of "Three Intensive Management and Five Large-scale Movements" of SGCC. Secondly, this paper takes BSPSC as example, analysis its existing problems of materials inventory control, and puts forward relevant solutions.The Key results of this paper are:Firstly, the establishment of a material demand forecasting model to predict the material demand for distribution network projects of BSPSC in 2016. Secondly, the use of the JIT model to optimize the declaration of the materials procurement plans. Thirdly, the use of ABC classification method to classify inventory and the strategies propose to improve inventory turnover ratio effectively under the current state of company.
