In the practice of enterprise management, the staffs work performance and the overall goal realization and organization success are closely related. Theoretical circles have very much research on performance. At present, scholars begin to pay attention to the influence of individual goal orientation on task performance. In the past, foreign scholars have made a lot of research on the goal orientation research and achieved some results. However, from the perspective of domestic literature, the research on goal orientation of the scholars in our country is not much. In the Chinese context, what is the relationship between the employee’s goal orientation and their task performance, what is the influence mechanism of the staffs goal orientation and their task performance, it is worth our further research. In this paper, we review the logical relationship between goal orientation, feedback seeking type and task performance, and construct a theoretical model including goal orientation, feedback seeking type and task performance based on the theory of social exchange and resource preservation. In order to further explore the relationship between goal orientation and task performance, this paper introduces the leader member exchange quality as the moderator variable. The research takes the enterprise staff as the object, through the establishment of feedback to find the type of scale and draw on the existing questionnaire survey, according to the theory and the statistical test, the following conclusions:(1) The learning goal orientation is positively related to the task-referenced feedback seeking, comparative feedback seeking and task performance; the performance prove goal orientation is positively related to the task-referenced feedback seeking, comparative feedback seeking and task performance; performance avoidance goal orientation is negatively related to the task-referenced feedback seeking, comparative feedback seeking and task performance. (2) The explanatory power of learning goal orientation to the task-referenced feedback seeking is stronger than that of the performance prove goal orientation. The explanatory power of performance prove goal orientation to the comparative feedback seeking is stronger than that of learning goal orientation.(3) The feedback seeking type is partly mediated between the goal orientation and task performance. (4) The relationship between leadership and task performance is the leader member exchange adjustment. The leader member exchange quality will be reinforcement learning’s goal orientation and the positive effect of the task performance, and the low quality of the leader member exchange will weaken the positive influence on the task performance.Based on the above conclusions, this study proposed the following managerial implications:when the enterprises hires staff, the candidates tested understand is guided to its target, the right people assigne to suitable jobs and scientific implementation of person job fit; enterprises should improve the incentive mechanism, encourage the staff to take the initiative to seek feedback, in order to enhance the performance of the staff; enterprises should improve the feedback mechanism, vary from person to person give feedback. Finally, good leader-member exchange relationship has contributed to the common development of people and organizations.
