Research On Analyzing The Reason And Countermeasures Of Servicebrain Drain In Star Hotel In Hainan Province

With the 30 years’ policy of China’s reform and opening up since 1978, hotel industry has rapidly developed and played an important role in the national economy. However, when experiencing leapfrog development in recent years,hotel industry has also exposed some problems, and the rising of brain drain has become the main problems for the further development of hotel industry. Building the international tourism island is the development goals, which will greatly develop global tourism. As the leading industry of Hainan, the tourism has faced some problems such as information, staff, economic development and so on, and especially the problem of brain drain which has led to kinds of negative effects. Those problems such as a decline in service quality, the loss of customer,the cost of training and replacing staff has greatly influenced the further development of hotel industry. Besides, the loss of hidden cost is hardly estimated. Therefore,it is urgent affairs and meaningful research to find the reasons of brain drain, diagnosis the situation of brain drain and explore the sustainable strategies to retain staff.Based on investigating the situation of brain drain in star hotel in Hainan Province nearly one year, collecting and collating several kinds of related information,it has analyze the underlying cause of brain drain from macro and micro level,and put forward the corresponding countermeasure combined with related theory and practical situation of hotels in the research.Moreover, an empirical case about the brain drain in a private-star hotel in Haikou is analyzed in the research, the situation and reason of brain drain is explored based on the practical situation, and the strategies is also put forward.
