After Shanghai FTZ was founded, China has fully operated the liberalization of domestic and foreign trade and investment. It has turned out that Shanghai FTZ is not only of great help in improving the exportation but also exposing some companies which are not so strong to the international market. Consequently these companies have encountered several new situations and problems especially when it comes to the management of supply chain. Hereby we intend to take H company as a subject to seek the solutions. H company is a middle-sized private enterprise, which majored in export-oriented cocoa materials business with a history over 20 years. It has gained some achievements, but with the change of global market, its traditional model of supply chain need to be optimized to improve the international competitiveness of the products. This paper based on the theory of BPR and supply chain. It analyzed both the new challenges caused by Shanghai FTZ and the available resources in order to figure out the problems of the supply chain. With the help of SWOT model, we solve the problems by reengineering a new future-adapted food supply chain. And a sort of details also will be considered to run this new kind of closed supply chain as well as self-adapting with the development of Shanghai FTZ and the international business. After BPR, the product quality as well as the efficiency of the food supply chain has increased obviously while the cost is decreasing. We believe this paper could be an active sample for all domestic export-oriented companies.
